Flooring Laborer

We are a private, locally owned company with over 30 years of experience in flooring and boat deck repair. Trusted by multiple major primary contractors, we pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, professionalism, and reliability. Most of our certified projects are based in Pearl Harbor and the greater Honolulu area.

*Position Summary:*
We’re looking for Full-Time Flooring Laborers who are hands-on, motivated, and reliable. You’ll work in a physically active environment helping install and repair flooring and boat decks using a variety of materials and methods. If you’re dependable, take pride in your work, and want to learn or grow in the trade, we’d love to hear from you.

*Pay & Hours:*

* $25/hour
* Overtime opportunities available
* Expected hours: 40 per week, Typically 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

*Job Responsibilities:*

* Unload/Offload heavy materials, equipment, and supplies
* Boat decking
* Removing existing flooring by sanding, cleaning and other techniques
* Operate power tools and equipment such as needle gun and grinder
* Basic painting tasks
* Apply marine epoxy coatings using deck rollers and brushes
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by tidying up daily
* Follow instruction from lead foreman
* Work with minimal supervision or with a team

*Requirements:*

* Ability to lift heavy materials
* Work in kneeling/crouched positions
* Ability to use hands to fingers
* Must be able to successfully obtain and retain DBIDS (Defense Biometric Identification System) card by successfully
* Ability to work in confined spaces and all outdoor weather especially high temperatures
* Ability to work with hazardous materials
* Detail oriented and ability to follow installation instructions
* Dependable and positive attitude
* Willing to learn
* Basic toolset: Leatherman, etc.
* Reliable transportation
* Good communication skills
* Wear PPE at all times
* Steal toe shoes, long sleeves & safety glasses.

*Preferred Skills:*

* Experience in decking and flooring installation is preferred but not required.
* Valid driver’s license is preferable.

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
