*Position Summary*
Lead a crew of epoxy flooring technicians to deliver high-quality residential, commercial, and industrial floor coating installations. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to company and manufacturer specifications while training crew members and maintaining client satisfaction.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Supervise daily crew activities; assign tasks and monitor progress to meet project timelines.
* Oversee surface preparation (power washing, shot blasting, diamond grinding, grinding, repair, patching) to ensure proper substrate profile and cleanliness.
* Perform and supervise mixing, priming, epoxy/polyaspartic/polyurethane application, broadcast systems (flakes/quartz), and topcoats.
* Ensure proper use, storage, and handling of materials, tools, and equipment.
* Conduct quality control inspections; verify adhesion, thickness, and finish standards; perform touch-ups and repairs as needed.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians on installation techniques, safety, and manufacturer specifications.
* Read job plans, measure spaces, calculate material quantities, and report labor and material usage.
* Enforce safety protocols and PPE usage; maintain a clean, organized job site and adhere to hazardous materials handling and disposal rules.
* Communicate with project managers, customers, and suppliers; report progress, delays, and issues promptly.
* Complete daily logs, time sheets, and project documentation; escalate warranty or quality issues when necessary.
*Qualifications*
* 3+ years hands-on experience installing epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurethane, or similar resinous flooring systems; 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
* Proven knowledge of surface-prep techniques (mechanical grinding, shot blasting), concrete repair, moisture mitigation, and coating application.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read technical data sheets (TDS), safety data sheets (SDS), and follow manufacturer application guidelines.
* Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
* OSHA 10 or 30, or equivalent safety training preferred.
* Certifications (preferred): SSPC, ICRI, NACE, or manufacturer-specific installer certification.
*Skills & Physical Requirements*
* Skilled in use of grinders, shot blasters, squeegees, rollers, trowels, squeegees, and mixing equipment.
* Comfortable working in varied environments, including cold, heat, and confined spaces.
* Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and perform repetitive tasks.
* Detail-oriented with strong quality-control focus.
* Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations.
Pay: $20.00 – $27.50 per hour
