Job Summary
HTC Commercial Flooring is seeking a skilled and experienced Flooring Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial flooring installation projects from start to finish in the Chicagoland and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in flooring systems, proven field leadership experience, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with project managers, installers, subcontractors, and clients.

This role is critical to ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and to HTC’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and manage commercial flooring installation projects from start to completion
* Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards
* Lead, coordinate, and support installers, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
* Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate execution
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
* Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and OSHA standards
* Coordinate material deliveries, inventory, and on-site logistics
* Collaborate closely with project managers to resolve field issues and adjust plans as needed
* Perform quality control checks throughout the project lifecycle
* Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and incident reports
* Serve as a field representative of HTC, maintaining professionalism with clients and partners

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Flooring Superintendent or similar role in the flooring or construction industry
* Extensive knowledge of commercial flooring materials, systems, and installation methods
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Ability to motivate, mentor, and manage field teams effectively
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Clear and professional communication skills
* Proficiency with project management software and digital reporting tools
* Thorough understanding of safety regulations and OSHA standards
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

* Certifications or formal training in flooring installation or construction management
* Experience with a wide range of flooring systems, including:
* LVT
* Carpet Tile
* Broadloom Carpet
* Wood
* Ceramic Tile
* Polished Concrete
* Epoxy
* Sheet Vinyl

Work Environment

* Full-time, in-person position based out of the Mokena, IL office
* Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as project schedules require
* Frequent travel to job sites throughout the Chicagoland area and surrounding regions
* Occasional regional or national travel as needed
