Blaster/Painter

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Blaster/Painter to join our construction team. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying protective coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise painting techniques and surface preparation.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
• Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, and sealants
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes
• Perform residential and commercial painting tasks including interior walls, exteriors, trim, stucco finishes, and masonry work
• Conduct surface repairs like patching holes or cracks using plastering techniques
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites including proper handling of hazardous materials
• Operate various hand tools and power equipment efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines

Skills

• Extensive experience with construction painting, renovation, restoration, and maintenance tasks
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools including airless sprayers
• Knowledge of industrial painting, commercial painting, residential painting, and specialty coatings
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $25.16 – $30.30 per hour
