Coatings Mechanic

Job Purpose:
– The Coatings Mechanic at BLAKLEY CORP is responsible for the application and maintenance of high-quality epoxy coatings and polished concrete surfaces. This role requires a skilled professional with a minimum of three years of experience in the coatings industry, ensuring that all projects meet the company’s standards for durability and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities:
– Apply epoxy coatings to various surfaces, ensuring a smooth and even finish that meets industry standards.
– Polish concrete surfaces to achieve desired texture and shine, maintaining consistency across projects.
– Inspect surfaces before and after application to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.
– Collaborate with project managers and other team members to plan and execute coating projects efficiently.
– Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine checks and necessary repairs.
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
– Document work processes and outcomes for reference and reporting purposes.
– Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in coating technologies to enhance service offerings.

Required Education:
– High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in applying epoxy coatings
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in polishing concrete

Preferred Experience:
– Experience in a coatings role within a construction or industrial setting
– Familiarity with various types of coating materials and their applications
