*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Epoxy Floor Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and working with epoxy coatings. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying epoxy systems, and ensuring high-quality finishes on commercial and residential projects. The Epoxy Floor Installer will work closely with project managers and other trades to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing flooring solutions. A strong background in construction, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools is essential for success in this position.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and repairing concrete floors to ensure proper adhesion of epoxy coatings.
* Mix and apply epoxy resins, primers, sealers, and topcoats according to project specifications.
* Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to install epoxy flooring systems efficiently.
* Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions to meet project requirements.
* Perform floor leveling, caulking, and trim carpentry as needed for seamless finishes.
* Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process to ensure durability and aesthetic standards are met.
* Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly.
* Collaborate with other trades such as tile setters, carpenters, and restoration specialists to complete projects on time.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience in flooring installation, epoxy coating application, or related construction fields.
* Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and floor care techniques.
* Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., caulking guns, scrapers) and power tools (e.g., grinders, buffing machines).
* Experience with tile laying, concrete finishing, remodeling, water damage restoration, or cabinet installation is a plus.
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed schematics accurately.
* Strong understanding of restoration industry practices and industry standards for epoxy flooring.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality results.
* Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working in various environmental conditions.
* Prior experience with the restoration industry or maintenance person work is advantageous but not mandatory. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision craftsmanship and technical expertise in epoxy flooring systems within the construction industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.54 – $28.35 per hour
