General Manager – Multi-Market Epoxy Flooring Company

Gateway Custom Coatings is a growing multi-location residential epoxy flooring company operating in:

* Kansas City (Headquarters)
* Springfield
* Wichita

We are hiring a General Manager to lead operations across all three markets.

This position will be based in Kansas City and will serve as the acting Branch Manager for the KC office while overseeing the Springfield and Wichita branch managers.

This is a high-responsibility leadership role for someone who wants to help build a scalable, multi-market company — not just manage what already exists.

Role Overview:

Kansas City (Home Base)

* Act as Branch Manager for the KC office
* Oversee daily production operations
* Manage crews, scheduling, and execution
* Handle material ordering for KC
* Directly manage KC inventory
* Maintain quality and efficiency standards

Springfield & Wichita

* Oversee branch managers
* Travel to each location regularly (approximately every couple of weeks)
* Review performance metrics and margin reports
* Ensure operational consistency and accountability
* Support leadership development

Core Responsibilities:

Operational & Financial Oversight

* Review finished job margin reports
* Monitor labor efficiency and production performance
* Enforce quality control standards across all branches
* Oversee payroll accuracy and accountability
* Maintain strong inventory control systems

Materials & Cost Control

* Direct material ordering for Kansas City
* Oversee inventory management systems in all markets
* Ensure cost discipline and waste reduction

Leadership Development

* Develop strong branch managers
* Maintain a culture of ownership and accountability
* Implement systems that allow for scalable growth

Travel Expectations

* Monthly same-day travel to Springfield and Wichita
* Hands-on leadership presence required
* Company truck and gas card provided
