Tile Setter/Flooring Installer

Requirements for ALL Installers

• Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment, 60#+
• Working from a kneeling, crouching or bent over position frequently
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to follow installation instructions/prescribed method of install
• Strong work ethic (reliable with a positive attitude)
• Own basic tools
• Own transportation
• Good customer service/manners

Tile Installer (ceramic and stone)

• Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar
• Align tiles and straighten them with straightedges, levels and squares
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble
• Prepare various surfaces for tiling with waterproofing material or lath
• Create decorative wall and floor designs by laying and setting mosaic tiles
• Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base
• Follow blueprints/plans precisely and mark and measure surfaces

Flooring Installer (wood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, soft flooring)

• Unloading material, equipment, and supplies
• Sanding, cleaning, and tearing up existing floors
• Applying epoxy coating using trowels, hand grinders, rollers and paintbrushes
• Ability to perform a floating installation
• Operating handheld power tools and other equipment
• Cut and trim carpet and soft flooring along walls, edges, openings, and projections
• Secure transitions/thresholds
• Sweeping, wiping down, and cleaning up jobsite at the end of each day

Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: Up to $40.00 per hour
