Purpose of Position

To prepare and paint equipment utilizing an electrostatic paint process.

Essential Duties

• Place items or products on feed racks, spindles, or reel stands to coat, paint, or spray using hands, hoists, or truck lifts
• Clean parts and weldments using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids
• Prepare parts and weldments for paint booth using sanding tools, caulk, and masking tape
• Operate paint booth spray equipment and oven
• Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality by performing visual inspections
• Manually spray parts and weldments with primer and top coat paints
• Weigh or measure chemicals, coatings, or paints
• Record paint film thickness
• Comply with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Six months to two years of related experience
• Forklift experience a plus
• Previous training in identifying and properly disposing of hazardous materials preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $37,357.67 – $52,432.52 per year
