Videos can teach you the basics of epoxy floors, but they can’t teach you how a slab feels under a grinder or what to do when a batch starts to kick early. For that you need hands-on time with someone who has done hundreds of floors. That is what in-person epoxy training events are for.

Florida has one of the busiest training calendars in the country, with options in Tampa, Orlando and South Florida. You can pick a 2-day class, a 3-day intro or a full 5-day certification, plus a decorative concrete seminar near Tampa. Here is what is coming up:

Upcoming Epoxy Training in Florida

Epoxy Depot Tampa: Intro to Epoxy Training

  • Dates: October 16-18, 2026
  • Location: 16011 N Nebraska Ave, Suite 107, Lutz (Tampa area)
  • Investment: $995, all materials included

Why It’s Worth Your Time: This 3-day hands-on class covers the full process with E4E epoxy products. You learn mixing ratios and how products work together, diamond grinding and surface prep, crack filling and leveling, one-day flake floors, metallic and marbling effects, and urethane and polyaspartic topcoats. It is a solid all-around start for new installers. This one is coming up fast, so call Epoxy Depot Tampa at 813-200-6111 if you want in.

Euclid Chemical Decorative Concrete Seminar

  • Dates: November 5-6, 2026
  • Location: Euclid Chemical Southern Campus, 1611 Gunn Highway, Odessa (Tampa area)
  • Investment: Not listed. Check with Euclid Chemical when you register.

Why It’s Worth Your Time: This 2-day seminar is for contractors who want to grow into decorative concrete. You get hands-on time with Euclid’s decorative product lines and see their newest systems. The big draw is the business side: classroom training on sales, accurate estimating and marketing so you can keep work coming in all year. Free shuttles run from nearby partner hotels.

One Stop Epoxy Orlando: 2-Day Epoxy Flooring Class

  • Dates: November 13-14, 2026
  • Location: 6422 Milner Blvd, Suite 102, Orlando
  • Investment: $495 per student, materials and lunch included

Why It’s Worth Your Time: This is great value for a hands-on class. You build a full flake floor and a metallic floor yourself, and you learn eight systems: grind and seal, solid color, partial flake, full flake, sand broadcast, quartz and metallic. It also covers the differences between epoxy, polyaspartic and polyurea, primers and moisture barriers, plus how to price jobs by your true cost per square foot. No experience needed, and you get a certificate of completion. Questions? Call 407-352-7653.

Epoxy Classes South Florida: 5-Day Epoxy Training and Certification

Why It’s Worth Your Time: This is the most in-depth option in the state, run by Polished Concrete University. Over five days you cover surface prep, product selection, metallic, flake and solid color floors, epoxy countertops, durability and troubleshooting. You work with professional tools and real concrete slabs, breakfast and lunch are provided, and you leave with a certification. With three sessions before the end of the year, it is easy to find a date that works.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Hands-on training gives you something online content can’t: real reps on real floors, with someone next to you when things go sideways. You learn to fix problems before they cost you a job, and you get to ask the questions that only come up when you are halfway through a metallic pour.

A few practical notes before you book:

  • Pick the format that fits where you are. One Stop Epoxy is a short, affordable hands-on class. Epoxy Depot is a 3-day intro. Epoxy Classes is a full 5-day certification.
  • Prices aren’t listed for every course, so call ahead and ask what is included.
  • Seats are limited and fill fast. If you have a date in mind, register early.
  • Beginners are welcome at the epoxy courses on this list. You don’t need prior experience.
  • We update this page as new Florida courses are announced, so check back before you plan your next one.
