You can learn a lot about epoxy floors online, but you can’t learn to read a slab, time a pour or fix a bad batch from a video. For that you need hands-on reps with someone who has done hundreds of floors. That is what in-person epoxy training events are for.

Texas has plenty of options, mostly around Dallas-Fort Worth with one in Houston. You can pick a $99 one-day workshop, a 3-day intro or a full 5-day certification, and there is even a 5-day polished concrete class. Here is what is coming up:

Upcoming Epoxy Training in Texas

Concrete Floor Shop Houston: Flake and Metallic Epoxy Training

  • Date: October 21, 2026
  • Location: 7801 N. Shepherd Dr, Suite 100, Houston
  • Investment: $200, lunch included

Why It’s Worth Your Time: This is the only hands-on epoxy class in Houston on the calendar right now. In one day you cover surface prep, a fast one-day low-odor flake floor install and artistic metallic epoxy systems. It is built for flooring pros, contractors and people starting a coatings business, not homeowners looking for a DIY project.

Epoxy Depot Fort Worth: Intro to Epoxy Training

  • Dates: October 21-23, 2026
  • Location: 780 N Beach St, Fort Worth
  • Investment: $695, all materials included

Why It’s Worth Your Time: This 3-day hands-on class is led by trainer Heath Ishman and uses E4E epoxy products. You learn mixing ratios and application methods, diamond grinding, surface prep and crack repair, one-day flake floors, metallic and marbling effects, and urethane and polyaspartic topcoats. It is a good fit for new installers and contractors adding coatings to their services. Call Epoxy Depot Fort Worth at (254) 269-0096 to sign up.

Versatile Building Products: 1-Day Epoxy Flooring Training

  • Dates: November 7 and December 5, 2026 (7:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
  • Location: 1900 Lakeway Dr, Suite 500, Lewisville (10 minutes from DFW Airport)
  • Investment: $99, breakfast and lunch included

Why It’s Worth Your Time: At $99, this is the cheapest way to get real hands-on time. The class runs in a 5,000 square foot indoor training space and covers concrete prep and patching, Versatile’s Roll On Rock flake systems, Lava Flow metallic epoxy, Brindle flake and an open Q&A. It is a smart pick if you already use Versatile products or want to train your crew on them. Bring gear you don’t mind getting dirty.

Epoxy Classes Dallas: 5-Day Epoxy and Polished Concrete Training

  • Epoxy coating sessions: November 2-6 and December 7-11, 2026
  • Polished concrete session: November 16-20, 2026
  • Location: Dallas area. Confirm the exact address when you book.
  • Investment: Not listed online. Book through Epoxy Classes or call (954) 287-3797.

Why It’s Worth Your Time: These are the most in-depth courses in Texas, run by Polished Concrete University. The 5-day epoxy course covers surface prep, product selection, metallic, flake and solid color floors, epoxy countertops and troubleshooting, and ends with a certification.

The polished concrete class is a rare find. Over five days you learn grinding, patching and joint repair, full mechanical polishing, stains and dyes, stencils, grind and seal, overlays, densifiers and sealers, plus how to price and bid commercial jobs. If you want to offer more than epoxy, this is the one to look at. Breakfast and lunch are included with both.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

Hands-on training gives you something online content can’t: real reps on real floors, with someone next to you when things go sideways. You learn to fix problems before they cost you a job, and you get to ask the questions that only come up when you are halfway through a metallic pour.

A few practical notes before you book:

  • Pick the format that fits where you are. Versatile and Concrete Floor Shop are one-day classes. Epoxy Depot is a 3-day intro. Epoxy Classes is a full 5-day certification.
  • Prices aren’t listed for every course, so call ahead and ask what is included.
  • Brickform also has a training in Temple on November 4-5, but it is for distributors only, so contractors can’t sign up.
  • Seats are limited and fill fast. If you have a date in mind, register early.
  • We update this page as new Texas courses are announced, including more in Houston, Austin and San Antonio, so check back.
